When the 40-day competition is over, the winning team — Boys or Girls — wins the team competition. From that winning team, the Top 20 individual point earners go FREE to Santa's Wonderland.
You need BOTH: help your team win AND earn enough individual points to finish in your team's Top 20. A team win by itself does not guarantee your free spot.

How the score works
We don't give one side an advantage just because more Boys or more Girls signed up. Your team score is adjusted by the number of teens currently locked in on each team.
Lock In every dayYour verified daily points help your individual score and your team.
Smaller team gets a factorThe roster-size factor keeps equal participation worth equal team points.
Wednesday matters BIGWednesday attendance has its own percentage-based team scoring, so showing up matters.
Recruiting is personalRecruiting points help your individual ranking, but they do not get counted twice in the team score.
EXAMPLE: If there are 15 Boys and 13 Girls, the Girls receive a roster factor. If 100% of both teams complete the same 300-point Lock In, both teams receive the same team value.
TWO RACES · ONE TRIP
Your Team Has to Win. You Have to Earn Your Spot.
There are two things happening at the same time: the Boys vs. Girls team competition and your own individual points race.
🏈 TEAM SCOREMost verified participation points you earn also help the Boys or Girls team score. The website uses the fairness factor so the team with more people does not automatically have an advantage. Wednesday attendance and game-winning bonuses can also put points directly on the team scoreboard.
⭐ INDIVIDUAL SCOREYou keep your own full points for what YOU do — Lock In, attendance, Bible, merch, games, serving, recruiting and other verified opportunities. Your individual total determines where you rank on your team's leaderboard.
TO GO FREE TO SANTA'S WONDERLAND: Your team must win the Boys vs. Girls competition AND you must finish in the Top 20 individual point earners on that winning team. Winning the team competition alone does not guarantee your free spot. Finishing Top 20 on the losing team does not qualify either. You need BOTH.
HOW TO EARN POINTS
Put Points on the Board
Your individual points matter, and most verified participation points also help your Boys/Girls team score. Here are the main ways to keep moving up the standings.
📖 Daily Lock In · +300Complete that day's Lock In on time. Once the day is over, you can't go back and claim it later.
🏟️ Wednesday Attendance · +1,000Show up to Backroads YTH and use the Wednesday attendance code while you're there. Wednesday attendance also has a BIG percentage-based Boys vs. Girls team score.
⛪ Sunday Church · +1,000Be at church Sunday and use the Sunday attendance code anytime that Sunday through 11:00 PM.
📕 Bring Your Bible · +200Bring your Bible on Wednesday and submit the required photo proof. Legitimate submissions earn the points automatically.
👕 Backroads Merch · +200Wear Backroads YTH gear on Wednesday and submit the required photo proof.
🏈 Play the Game · +300Participate in the Wednesday game or challenge. Claim your participation; staff can remove points for a claim that isn't legitimate.
🏆 Win Games · Team PointsWednesday games can put bonus points directly on the Boys or Girls scoreboard. Winning-team bonuses are awarded to the team once.
🤝 Verified Serving · +1,000Verified serving can earn individual points when staff records it.
🎟️ First-Time Friend · 2,000 PoolBring a verified first-time Backroads guest. The 2,000 recruiting points are split between verified inviters if more than one person invited them.
↩️ Bring Somebody Back · 1,000 PoolBring back a student who attended before but hadn't returned this school year. The 1,000-point comeback pool is split between verified inviters.
🔥 Your Friend Keeps GoingAfter a guest is verified, you can keep earning recruiter-impact points when that recruit completes core Lock In participation. Those recruiter points help your individual ranking.
⚡ Bonus Codes & ChallengesTim may drop special verified challenges or bonus codes during Lock In. The points and rules can vary.
IMPORTANT: Recruiting points help your individual standing, but they do not get added again to the Boys/Girls team score. Your recruit helps the team by actually locking in, showing up and participating.
